2. The 10-Point Rating Methodology

Both editorial staff reviews and community reader impressions utilize an unambiguous 1 to 10 scale:

• 10 (Masterpiece): Genre-defining excellence across illustration, fight choreography, pacing, and emotional impact.
• 9 (Superb): Outstanding storytelling, evocative art, and memorable cast with only minor flaws.
• 8 (Great): Consistently engaging, polished presentation, strongly recommended to fans.
• 7 (Good): Solid execution and entertaining character moments, recommended within its genre.
• 5-6 (Average): Passable craft, predictable plot tropes, or inconsistent visual pacing.
• 1-4 (Subpar): Clunky panel transitions, incoherent plot progression, or poor anatomical rendering.

3. Editorial Scores vs. Community Ratings

To prevent misinformation and maintain reader trust, Manga Drifter strictly distinguishes between two scores on every series page:

• Editorial Score: A curated critical assessment evaluated by Manga Drifter editors based on worldbuilding, artistic paneling, and serial narrative execution.
• Reader Community Rating: Calculated strictly from verified, approved reviews submitted by registered readers. Manga Drifter never fabricates fake community review counts or fake vote numbers.

4. Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Manga Drifter is funded through display advertising (including Google AdSense) and legitimate affiliate partnerships. Some links to authorized digital volume storefronts or licensed subscription platforms may generate a small commission for Manga Drifter if you make a purchase.

These affiliate relationships never influence our editorial judgments, tier list placements, or review verdicts. Our writers are evaluated solely on the honesty, depth, and accuracy of their analysis.

5. Anti-Piracy & Creator Respect

Manga Drifter explicitly opposes online scanlation piracy and illegal scraping. We do not host scanlated manga or manhwa chapter archives, nor do we link to ad-infested pirate aggregators.
